New Zealand's leading surfing photographer Logan Murray came to designarts when he needed help to produce his first book of photographs. designarts came up with a budget, a schedule and a visual concept.

Working with Logan, Gray Clapham studied hundreds of transparencies taken over the last 30 years. Together they made the final selection. designarts arranged for Logan's precious transparency collection to be scanned to large hi-resoultion digital tiff files before the design process commenced.

Gray Clapham co-wrote and edited the editorial segments of the book and working to a tight printing deadline designarts proceeded with overall design and page lay-outs. The result is a superbly produced coffee table book of beautiful images - a book that is already part of New Zealand's history.

Eastwoodhill The Colours of an Aboretum:

"I was recently involved in the publication of a book "Eastwoodhill: The Colours of an Arboretum". It contains a collection of photographs taken by members of the Gisborne Camera Club over a twelve month period. I approached Gray Clapham of Design Arts, Gisborne, at the outset and he handled the design,layout and printing. I was very impressed throughout the process by his technical skills, his artistic input and his ability to produce a very high quality book on time and within budget. I found him excellent to deal with and he kept me informed at all times. The book has been on the market for two months and has been very well recieved with repeat orders coming into our office every week."
